Preschool (ages 3-5)
ND Vision Services/School for the Blind assists in the transition of students at three year of age into the school setting by working with families, infant development agencies, and preschool staff from local school districts.
Support given during the infant development stage continues by conducting assessments within the school setting and working with preschool teachers and parents in determining the best program for their student’s needs.
This transition may include updating vision assessments to determine placement in an appropriate classroom and consultation with school staff to provide continued accommodations for the successful use of the child’s functional vision.
